New Moon Intention Flags

Tonight we held the new moon gathering even though the new moon was yesterday.
I meant to take pictures of everyone's wonderful creations, but only remembered after everyone had headed out the door.  So these are the two I did.

This weekend I am grateful for the warm/hot weather and lots of sun!
Intense long conversations which spark, connect and inspire.
Spending time with old friends and watching Keegan
connect with a kindred spirit.
The new moon gang.

St Patty's Day 09

Today i am grateful for:
Keegan being honored with the Enthusiastic Reader Award
The beauty of the day and the sky
This poem:
LETTING GO TAKES LOVE
To let go does not mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off, it's the realization I can't control another.
To let go is not to enable, but allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to try to change or blame another, it's to make the most of myself.
To let go is not to care for, but to care about.
To let go is not to fix, but to be supportive.
To let go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their destinies.
To let go is not to be protective, it's to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny, but to accept.
To let go is not to nag, scold or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.
To let go is not to criticize or regulate anybody, but to try to become what I dream I can be.
To let go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.
To let go is to fear less and love more
Remember: The time to love is short

Trees in the storm

Today I am grateful for

Catherine noticing my sad energy and cheering me up

Keegan being the wonderful kid he is

Time to process at work and get to the soul of the sadness

Good friends with words of love and encouragement
As I started to picture the trees in the storm, the answer began to dawn on me. The trees in the storm don't try to stand up straight and tall and erect. They allow themselves to bend and be blown with the wind. They understand the power of letting go. Those trees and those branches that try too hard to stand up strong and straight are the ones that break. Now is not the time for you to be strong, or you, too, will break.

Inspired week

Some quick pieces made within the last two weeks
More in the journal, but still haven't photographed them.
Some will become paintings this spring when the basement again becomes a studio.
As for now, it's just pouring out - into the journal
Flowing with life - love - energy
Be grateful

May 2007

Garden Tours, OBX & Memorial Day

It's so hard to get on the computer and even get some images up when I work on the computer all day. Same old story, but here are a few pics from the past month.

Here is Keeg at the Hortulus Gardens open house on a beautiful day in May.
Such a ham!

With the sheep...

and the fountain swimming pool...

Also in May, went to OBX, North Carolina for a cousin's graduation.
Great weather and great time.

Beach and heated pool!

And lots of kids to play with!

Memorial Day parade 07

Next time I post some pics, I am going to try to do it through iweb. I've had enough of the blogger idiosycrises? That is sooo not spelled right.

HOPE!

I was up too late listening....and then woke up to
Rendell, Casey in office,
and Patrick Murphy claiming victory!

I woke up to hope!
A great day and a wave of change much needed.

Took in the festivities at None Such Farms in Buckingham last weekend.
A beautiful windy and chilly fall day!

Keegan has decided to be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween

this year, but he keeps changing his mind. We have the
costume all ready, and I even have some pics of him in it,
but I will wait till the actual holiday for that. This week he wants to be Tarzan anyway. And a Power Ranger. As for me, I have no idea yet, and have to work the actual evening of Halloween. I will figure something out the weekend before.

The political craziness is upon us as anyone who turns on the radio can attest to. At the newspaper, it is always fun and amusing. We had the Democratic candidate for the 8th congressional district here in Bucks County (Patrick Murphy) come in today for a mini press conference. Should prove for the some good reading, and I think this is the first actual politician (and someone who stood on the same podium as Clinton the week before) that I have shoken hands with.

Boston at the end of September

I'm a little behind the times here, but figured I would finally post a few pics from out jaunt up to Boston to see Janee, Derek and the new baby girl Astrid.

This one is Keegan and the "Make way for Ducklings" statue in the park in Boston.
